Flickr

We know it's a tough question, but if you had to pick just one camera to shoot with from now until the end of time, what would that be?

I use about 30 different cameras and that is not an exaggeration; I obsessively collect them. In fact one of my recent clients paid me in vintage cameras. I guess I have a couple of Hasselblads that I like; a work horse and a pretty one for me to look at.
So I guess I’d have to go with the work horse. This is kind of a mean question, it’s a bit like asking me what nostril I’d like to live without.

2. A (possibly) tough question: Tell us your favourite photos on Flickr, and why you like them.

First, a favourite from your photo stream? (Please pick only 1 of your own.)

I have been cursed with self loathing and my motivation to make photos is to make one better than the last so I would have to say my favourite of my own photos on flickr are the ones I haven’t made yet and have not uploaded yet. It’s a rather deflated answer but an honest one.

And from another Flickr member? (Again, please pick only 1.)

My favourite of any one else’s photos, that would have to be a photo by Susu Laroche.
I really can’t get over her photographs, they really haunt me. They creep up on me.
Whenever I see a new photo by her it feels like someone has stabbed me in the heart.

Without embellishment or a desire to exaggerate I was frozen by this photo.

2. What's one tip that you would share with someone who's just picking up a camera?

Make sure its analogue and try not to point it at yourself.

4. When we interview peeps for employment here at Team Flickr, we always ask: "Kittens, babies, sunsets or flowers? Pick one."

Pick one? You’re going to have to tell me what I am meant to be doing with it first?

5. Which Flickr member should we ask these 5 questions of next?

Susu Laroche.
